I’m a London-based video game designer, writer, and composer with a decade of experience spanning triple-A teams of hundreds of developers to indie projects with team sizes you could count on one hand. Get in touch if you’d like to work with me.

My roles have ranged from full-time game developer to consultant in narrative design and creative development. Most recently I’ve contributed to a number of projects at Valve, primarily as a game designer, including Half-Life: Alyx.

As a core voice on the creative design and story of Firewatch and In the Valley of Gods, I have deep experience with modern interactive narrative and game design, and have spoken on these topics at numerous worldwide conferences including Game Developers Conference 2019.

I’ve written scripts for titles such as The Cave (alongside adventure game legend Ron Gilbert) at Double Fine Productions, Rogue One: X-Wing VR Mission with Criterion Games, and Saturnalia and Wheels of Aurelia with Santa Ragione. I have also provided narrative and creative development for several unannounced titles from major developers.

My soundtracks can be heard in Firewatch, Gone Home, Thirty Flights of Loving, and more. In the case of Firewatch I also served as audio director, responsible for designing and implementing the game’s full soundscape.

As part of the Idle Thumbs podcast network I co-founded, I’ve hosted, edited, and produced hundreds of episodes of podcasts across a number of topics including games, literature, technology, television, and more.

Recently I expanded my voice work into audiobooks as the narrator of Susan Sontag: The Making of an Icon, the unauthorized first biography of Sontag.
