I have given numerous talks at major conferences and events across Europe, North America, and South America, discussing topics including game design, narrative, music composition, independent game development and publishing, fostering community, and more.

Embedded on this page is my talk at Game Developers Conference 2019, “Interactive Story Without Challenge Mechanics: The Design of Firewatch.” In this hour-long session, I use Firewatch as a development case study to discuss game design techniques that can be applied more broadly to creating interactive narratives that deeply integrate with game mechanics.
